★ Short description of the project:
The project “Think about the others” is developed in partnership with ANDCTR as CO and ANTER to host one of the activities, being the result of the local initiatives of several young people, following the activities carried out with our members and members of “Life is better with friends”, in support of the development of civic solidarity activities in support of children from disadvantaged families (which make up about 400 people). The project itself aims to develop a massive donation campaign for these groups, but also to intensely promote an online tool to ensure project continuity through deliberate action by citizens.
★ Objectives of the project:
Short-term objectives of the project:
1. Facilitating the cooperation and teamwork of a group of 24 Romanian and other young people for a 5-month period in the development of found founding activities for a group of about 400 local beneficiaries.
2. Supporting a group of 24 young Romanians and other countries for accessing volunteer activities in order to develop specific civic, social, intercultural and media competences.
Long-term objectives of the project
1. Orientation of a group of 24 volunteers to continue their involvement in local civic actions after the end of the project, aiming at attracting new volunteers from the personal circles and constantly transmitting the good practice message of the project
2. Stimulation of follow-up actions by online tools created by a group of 24 volunteers, ensuring continuity of civic activities.
★ Profile of the participant:
– Aged 18 to 30 years old.
– Have a medium English level, especially a good conversational level.
– Motivated to develop activities in support of needy children and their families in order to improve the quality of their lives.
– Committed to disseminate the project results.
– Strongly motivated and available for the entire period of the project.
★ Organisational aspects:
– Volunteers will be directed by a coordinator of activities.
– They will attend the On Arrival Training session organized by the National Agency.
– Volunteers will be offered travel support according to the travel band distance.
– Working hours: 7 hours / day; 5 days a week. Free days: 2 per month.
– The volunteers will be accommodated in apartments fully equipped, 2/room on each gender, with shared bathroom and kitchen.
– The volunteers will receive a monthly food allowance of 120 euros and 70 euros as pocket money.
– Language support will be provided.
– NO PARTICIPATION FEE!!!
