Duration: 1st August 2023 – 1st February 2024 (6 months).
About the project:
Through this project, we are aiming to promote social inclusion and active participation, solidarity and diversity, volunteering and participation of fewer opportunities in the categories of youngsters from rural areas and neglected communities in the region of Bacau, Romania.
Objectives:
– Increasing the acquisition of soft skills (critical thinking, complex problem solving, innovation, creativity, communication) for contributing to their personal and professional development among the young people in the communities.
– Improving the tolerance and inclusion among the children and young people in the communities becoming more open to cooperation among youth from different backgrounds, families and financial situations.
– Personal and professional development of the volunteers, learning how to work with groups, and creating social media content.
* We are looking to create the ideal fusion between the volunteers (their skills, the skills we can train) and the local community so we can highlight the solidarity element.
Activities:
– Social media activities & Photo – Video – create visual and written content, managing the organization’s SM accounts.
– Organize workshops and activities for children and young people from the local social centers in Oituz area.
– Preparing trainings for the following topics: NFE, inclusion / cooperation / multiculturalism, environment and sustainability.
– Ecology campaigns and workshops – raising awareness of a sustainable lifestyle.
– Personal and professional development through theater/ coaching/ movement/ career guidance.
– Promoting the ELF Festival and summer camps in the region and online.
– Preparing to host the ESC volunteering teams in the summer.
– Supporting the setting and building a glamping space for volunteering teams.
– Intercultural activities in the community, collective and group activities.
Profile of the volunteer:
– Willing to spend time in the rural area and traveling around.
– Willing to get involved in communities, talk to new people, make new friends.
– Willing to gain new skills and work in a team.
– English speaker.
– Aged between 18-30 years old.

-Accommodation:
In modern village houses with fully fitted kitchen, bathroom, water hot / cold, 2-3 people/room.
– Local transportation: will be provided by the host.
– Financial Support:
Allowance per month – €250 (food + pocket money).
-Travel:
275 Euro provided for international travel (round trip).
