Location: Oradea – Romania
Duration: 1 February 2023 – 30 December 2023 (11 months).
Profile of the volunteer:
– Aged 18 – 30 year old.
– Did not do a long term EVS or ESC before.
– Fluent at a medium level in speaking English.
– Motivated to take part in the project and showing involvement during the selection process.
– Passionate about Nature – loving to be outdoors.
– Passionate about animals.
– Willing to ACT as active citizen when it comes to do something to preserve an area or protect an animal.
– Feeling well around animals.
– Willing to share your passion for Nature with kids and youth.
– Happy to work with children and young people.
– Excited to develop new skills in organizing, implementing and coordinating activities.
– YOUTH with few opportunities (unemployed, not in school, few financial possibility ties, cultural / religious/gender obstacles, Geographical obstacles, etc.) will have priority and a tailored support plan.

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION:
Green park Education for Nature is a long-term ESC project (11 months) about social inclusion, Climate and Environment protection, human rights, solidarity, about YOU working shoulder to shoulder with our team, getting familiar with youth work and Nature. A project designed to involve young people ESC volunteers in Oradea city community needs for Education for Nature. We will address kids and young people 3 to 13 years with different indoor and especially outdoor activities. We will work together with different local partners – Schools, Kindergartens, Museums, Universities, ZOO, Libraries and public FOREST authorities to develop a series of activities which will focus on:-
1. help kids and young people learn about nature and especially local climate.
2. encourage local kids and young people to embrace the idea that we have to love and protect our Nature in order to have a future.
3. encourage kids and young people to become active citizens – protecting animals and fauna.

*Other aspects:
-Accommodation:
Volunteers will be accommodated in apartments, 2 / room, same gender room, will share a kitchen and bathroom.
Will be provided:
– 1 set of bed sheets, 1 pillow, 1 blanket /volunteer
– Cutleries, pans and other necessities for basic cooking to be shared between the volunteers
(kitchen equipment’s will be basic)
– Washing machine to be shared
– Local transportation: a monthly local travel bus pass will be provided for each volunteer.
-Financial Support:
The volunteers will receive a monthly food allowance and pocket money each month.
-Travel:
275 Euro provided for international travel (round trip).
