Empowerment for All

In the framework of the “CSO Component” implemented by Expertise France in partnership with Ministry of Social Development and under the umbrella of the EU-funded “Support to Social Protection in Jordan Program”.

Youth Network for Development and Innovation – YNDI in cooperation with The Gym and the Ra for Community Development, implementing the “Empowerment for All” project in Amman, Giza – Talbieh refugee camp for a period of 9 months, the project will focus on community involvement with persons with disabilities through solidarity, gender equality and teamwork activities with the participation of all target groups and stakeholders with the aim of involving most of people in the targeted area and to reach the main project objectives of training and qualifying the target group, building a playground suitable for people with disability/special needs, engaging them in agricultural activities, learning organic farming, build and develop their business in organic farming for the long term.

Expected results of the project:
– Training and qualifying the target group through specialized training programs.
– Building a playground suitable for people with disabilities and other people.
– Building greenhouses for organic farming / long-term.
– Implementation of agricultural initiatives in the targeted area (Talbieh refugee camp).
– Forming a local supervision committee to take over the role after the end of the project led by our partner (The Gym and the Ra for Community Development) and to ensure the continuity of the project and follow up on the impact measurement.
Participants profile:
– Resident in Talbieh camp.
-The unemployed aged between 18 – 45 years in addition to the persons with disabilities (vision Impairment, deaf or hard of hearing, autism spectrum disorder, physical disability).
– High motivation to serve the community.
– High commitment to the project and its activities.
– Ability to work within a team.
– Interested and motivated to develop project activities as presented.
– Commitment to publish project results.
