Our ESC Volunteer Wasan in Romania

Written by our ESC volunteer Wasan in Romania:

Hello! or shall I say Buna Ziua!..My name is Wasan, it’s been almost two weeks since I’ve arrived in Targu Frumos/Romania, when I knew I was coming to this little town I thought it wouldn’t be that special or different, But I was wrong! It’s surely a small town with not much of activities to do, but what was higher than my expectations is the greeneries and the architecture of their small houses. I love the vibes and calmness of this little town.

Romanian people since the first day I arrived, showed me the meaning of what brought me here in the first place, Solidarity. There wasn’t a moment where I felt like I’m alone and can’t seek help since there is a language barrier. In fact, they were trying to help even if that means they must use hand gestures or translating using their phones. Meeting different volunteers with different backgrounds and cultures is interesting to me, I’m having a good time of getting to know people and the locals here too.

Regarding to what we do at the organization (ASIRYS-SUPER TINERI), I’m thrilled to get to use my experience in different forms of art, learning more, and widening my horizons. This is just the beginning, and I can tell it is going well.
