Our ESC Volunteer Haitham in Vsetín, Czech Republic

Hello, my name is Haitham, and I am 26 years old. This is the first time I am volunteering outside my country, Jordan. In previous years, I volunteered with local organizations, and I always believing that the voluntary sector builds and develops many aspects of society and personality.

Currently, I am volunteering with the Diakonie ČCE organization at the Rubikon Club in Vsetín, Czech Republic. I am the only volunteer from Jordan here. Initially, I felt confused because it was a new experience and everything was different for me. However, upon arriving, I quickly adapted, and my perspective changed.

I am grateful to Mr. Emad, the director of YNDI and its team, who supported and encouraged me throughout the procedures for this opportunity, and offering advice and tips to navigate this experience. Despite facing some challenges during the process, but at the end It’s worth it.
I hope to see more volunteers from Jordan in the coming months, joining me in this volunteering experience and contributing to the community and build a new personality able to move forward.

مرحبًا، اسمي هيثم، عمري 26 عامًا. هذه المرة الأولى التي أتطوع فيها خارج بلدي، الأردن. في السنوات السابقة، قمت بالتطوع مع منظمات محلية، وكنت مؤمنًا دائمًا بأن القطاع التطوعي يبني ويطور العديد من الجوانب في المجتمع والشخصية.

حاليًا، أتطوع مع منظمة – ČCE Diakonie – Rubikon club, Vsetín ، جمهورية التشيك. أنا الوحيد الذي يتطوع من الأردن هنا. في البداية، شعرت بالارتباك لأنها كانت تجربة جديدة وكل شيء كان مختلفًا. ومع ذلك، عند وصولي هنا، تأقلمت بسرعة وتغيرت وجهة نظري.

أنا ممتن للسيد عماد، مدير منظمة YNDI وفريقها، الذي دعمني وشجعني طوال الإجراءات لهذه الفرصة، وقدم لي النصائح والإرشادات بخصوص هذه التجربة. على الرغم من مواجهة بعض التحديات خلال عملية التقديم لهذه الفرصة، ولكن النهاية كانت انها تستحق هذا العناء. آمل أن أرى المزيد من المتطوعين من الأردن في الشهور القادمة، لينضموا الي في هذه التجربة التطوعية ويساهمون في المجتمع وبناء شخصية جديدة نحو الأمام.
