Our ESC Volunteer Aya in Târgu Frumos, Romania
From a youth activist in Jordan to a youth activist in Romania. Here I will start sharing my experience in volunteering:
I am Aya Zreiqat, 21 years old. I study biomedical systems engineering and am a youth activist in many topics, including children and human rights, climate change, and health.
I started my volunteering journey when I was 10 years old, and my father played a very big role in strengthening my culture of volunteering and the impact it left behind. Positive and leave a mark on this society. Because I have gone through many experiments, gained expertise, worked with many organizations, and created many initiatives and projects, then I got to know the YNDI organization to continue my journey for positive change and leave my mark on the world.
Now I am in Târgu Frumos – Romania, a city full of calm and nature, to complete my work that I began in Jordan with humanitarian work and to contribute to society by dealing with refugees and children to enhance the concept of their sense of belonging and to activate their role in their communities and transfer this experience to Jordan so that we can contribute to the development of our country.
This opportunity means a lot to me because it is different from all my participation in different cultures, getting to know people from countries around the world, and exchanging experiences. All of this has contributed to building a lot of my personality.
