Our ESC Volunteer Alaa in Bals, Romania

From Jordan to Romania, participating in a volunteer adventure in non-formal education.
I am Alaa Al-Amerin, 25 years old, I began a new experience in a volunteer trip aimed to working with school students, enhancing learning opportunities, sharing cultures and exchanging knowledge, in cooperation and coordination with the Jordanian YNDI organization, which supports and encourages youth work, cooperation and community development.

3/30/2023 On Saturday, I arrived in the city of Bals, southwest of the capital Bucharest, after a 16-hour trip (from Amman to Bucharest, via Antalya – Turkey, then to Bals).

Bals is a beautiful city. I was amazed by the green nature. The interplay between the past, with its history, and the present, with its development, what take my attention was the calm of the city and the kindness of its residents, the weather bothered me (the fluctuation between high and low temperature in a same day).

I am very excited to achieve my duties and goals, realize myself and represent my country, and I wish success for me and my companions in this journey.
