Our ESC Volunteer Ahmad in Arad, Romania
From Jordan to Romania: My Volunteering Journey towards Serving School Students.
I, Ahmed Amin Al Khattab, a 23-year-old civil engineer, embarked on a volunteering journey aimed at serving school students and promoting equality and solidarity in Arad, a small city in Romania. In collaboration with the YNDI Jordanian organization, which encourages volunteering and building better communities, my journey began on February 17, 2024.
My journey commenced from the Jordanian capital, Amman, where the flight departed for Bucharest, the capital of Romania. From there, I continued the journey to Timisoara Airport, and then to Arad, where I concluded the trip after 10 hours of travel. Since arriving, I have found the beauty of this remarkable town and the uniqueness of its river, Mureș, which gives it a unique charm.
Upon arrival, I met with a team of volunteers from various parts of the world, sharing the same goal and desire to serve school students and bring about positive change. I am still at the beginning of the journey, but filled with enthusiasm and ambition to achieve my goals and make a positive impact in the community.
I strive to achieve cooperation and equality among school students, and represent my country with pride and honor. I look forward to what lies ahead and wish success and prosperity to me and my colleagues in this noble volunteering journey.
