Moath Maharmah, Our ESC Volunteer in Romania

My name is Moath Maharmah from Jordan, currently I am involved in a long-term ESC volunteering project with the YNDI in partnership with Ofinsiva Tinerilor organization in Arad Romania.

The experience of coming here wasn’t bad at all, but was a little bit challenging, traveling to a whole new country with a totally different culture, language and characteristics, but it’s going very well so far Romanian people are super friendly and they love expats in order to exchange cultures.

Our work is mostly with kids, people with disabilities and refugees, in one hand working with children gets you back to the purest version of human nature but in the other hand it needs some experience and a lot of patience as well!

I hope to learn more and more from this experience, and I also would love the YNDI for helping me as well as a lot of young people like me to get this kind of opportunities.
